Mike’s a professional videographer who does weddings among other things. A videographer for more than a year now, he has recently acquired a DSLR and has been seriously playing with it since. Innately lazy, this guys usually wakes up way passed noon, but won’t fail to catch the first rays of the sun if his intending to shoot dawnscapes. Would always complain of walking a few city blocks, but was surprisingly keen on trekking the mountains of rural Cebu in search for beautiful landscapes to shoot. Although fascinated by the different areas of photography, Mike prefers to shoot weddings and portraits, saying “people are the most interesting of subjects” and “there’s nothing like a wedding to bring out the “peopleness” in people”. He shoots weddings in a semi-photojournalistic approach, directing when needed but quick to capture those precious candid moments. Young(or so he says) and full of enthusiasm, Mike’s a videographer who won’t hesite to crawl, run, crouch, slide, jump, climb, roll or dive…a lensman who gives all for the perfect shot.... a professional who gives his all and more… A true advocate for his passion, videography, he spends time online on videographer’s community ( www.pinoyvideomaker.com) sharing, learning and discussing ways on how to elevate videography, not just as an artform but also as an industry. Believing that it is time for videography to be appreciated as an artform and videographers be respected and compensated for their craft and not be treated as mere cameramen. Single-but not available(so don’t let him fool you if he’ll tell you otherwise), Mike has yet to be on the other side of a lens during a wedding day… A firm (stubborn) believer of the “It’s the Indian and not the pana”-mantra, he sticks with his kit lens that came with his camera and refuses to acquire new camera gears (but I believe the true reason for this is he just couldn’t afford them hehehe Although I heard a new lens is coming). Although technically adept, Mike tends to lean on the artistic bend of his craft because his concern is not just about the light and sound during the wedding…. But more importantly, the drama-the people and the emotion one feels. -profile written by a friend and fellow lensman, Owen Florendo- (as dictated to him by Michael Ian Sosmeña hehehe) MICHAEL IAN SOSMEÑa static_pulse00@yahoo.com | SLR xperiments | |

|
 | Any will do delms...as they say, "it's not the pana but the injun" :) balitai nya ko if naa na ka dslr... |
 | yan, i tested yesterday the 40d at canon and it is a bit heavy for me..i like the feel of the 450d, gaan..pang beginner ra biya ni akoa..hehe..the 18-55mm IS is included already in the xsi kit..i just need a telephoto lens within the 10-12k budget..i'm not really into nikon..i'm a canon fan ever since..hehe |
 | if you hav to choose between those two, Id recommend the 40d, and when choosing lenses i'd steer clear off those IS lenses kabantay ka halos mudoble ang price....and the IS isn't really as good as advertised...
la ka ni try ug nikon delms? try stretching for a d300.... :) |
 | yeah im plannin buying 40D or 450D, lens for (40D 28-135 IS) and sa (450D 18-55 IS and 55-250 mm IS). unsay maayo ani nila? |
 | 400D Delms...ang mga wide shots dha is taken with a kit lens...ang mga tele kay 70-200f2.8 :) palit na ka DSLR? palt na uban ta soot |
